Of all the places that I could be, I found the Laces on…Instagram. It just so happened that I was scrolling along when I saw Haleigh Overseth’s awesome, Oh The Laces You Will Go design. Her beautiful, orange and grey shawl caught my attention immediately. I quickly asked if I could be a test knitter for this shawl.
Oh The Laces You Will Go fit perfectly into the pi shawl along I have been hosting since August 1st. I was excited to start this project, especially since I was somewhat less in love with my Vortex shawl. That’s not exactly a pattern issue, it is more of an inconsistent handspun issue.
I used Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light in Thunderstorm and Silver Fox. On the podcast, the lights make the light grey look white, but in person and the photos, you can see that it is definitely grey. I have heard that the more saturated MadTosh colors have a tendency to bleed, but that was not a problem for me.
One notable change, however, is that I did use a larger size needle then requested. This was knit using my Knit Picks interchangeable needles on a US size 4. I think it makes for a nice fabric with an incredible drape.
The Pi Shawl Along
Even though my project is complete there is still more time to be included in this knit along. To take part just head over to the Ravelry group . For more information on this knit along please check out my previous post here.
